Returns & Exchanges Policy

Below is our refund and returns policy - please have a read over this before making a purchase. We pride ourselves on being able to keep a close connection with all our customers, so we thought we'd fill you in on how things operate in our space before you join The Certified World family.

  • If a change of mind occurs, all items are subject to an exchange or credit to the same dollar value (in the form of a gift card). This store credit will have no expiry.
  • Your item/s must be returned within 30 days of purchase.
  • Returned item(s) must be unworn, unwashed or otherwise unused with all original tags/labels attached.
  • Refunds are NOT provided, unless a purchased item is faulty and returned within 30 days of purchase.
  • If an item is faulty and a refund does occur, the purchase price (excluding delivery charges) will be refunded to you using the original payment method, once we have received the returned item back and confirmed that it meets the conditions stated above.
  • Order cancellations are processed in the form of a store credit. This store credit will have no expiry.
  • Gift cards are not eligible for return.
  • You are responsible for any costs associated with returning the item to us.
  • If we determine that a purchased product, was ordered using a robot, automated software, or suspected reseller orders - we reserve the right to refuse the return of any orders that have been purchased, order cancellations, or refund at our absolute discretion.

Returns Process

Below is a step by step process for all returns / exchanges:

  • Start a return via DMing us on Instagram
  • Please provide your order number (this can be found on the top of the order confirmation email) and email address used for the order.
  • Then choose the item/s you wish to return.
  • Once confirmed, using the returns label - send your unwashed, unworn item along with proof of receipt to the Instagram DM.
  • Please allow us up to 3-5 business days to process your return for a store credit or exchange.

If you have chosen a store credit option:

  • Once we receive the returned item/s we will provide you with a CREDIT NOTE in the form of a GIFT CARD to the exact value of your original order - excluding shipping.
  • This amount can be used over multiple orders until you have used the total amount. The gift card will have no expiry date.
  • You then use that code to purchase a replacement item/s. 

If you have chosen to exchange your item:

  • In the case your item does not fit, we have simplified and made the process of exchanging your item hassle-free. When choosing to exchange an item, you now have the convenience of being able to shop for an alternative immediately. 
  • All you’ll need to do is fill to DM us on Instagram @thecertifiedworld or email certifiedarmor@thecertifiedworld.com and:
  • Please provide your order number and email address, then choose the item you wish to exchange.
  • Select the option to exchange for a different size and indicate the new size you are after - or you can exchange it for a different item that is in stock.
  • Review your return details and submit your request.
  • Ship it back within our returns timeframe (10 business days).
  • Please kindly note that all exchanges are subject to stock availability.

My item is faulty what do I do?

We are so sorry to hear this - let's get this resolved as quickly as possible.

You can reach out to our friendly Customer Care Team a number of ways, the easiest and fastest way to resolve this for you is to DM us on Instagram and photographing the faulty/damaged item option. Make sure you have your order number, email address, image of the fault and preferred outcome on hand ready to help us provide you with a quick resolution.

Please note that inquiries about faulty items must be made within 30 days of delivery.

How long does a return take to process?

Returns may take up to 15 full business days from when you lodge the parcel, to when it is processed in our Fulfilment Centre by our amazing Returns Team. You should receive your refund or credit note 1 - 3 business days after processing. We will keep you up to date throughout the whole process via email.

What is an instant exchange?

Take advantage of our instant exchange service for faster exchanges. When you initiate an exchange via Instagram DM, you have the choice to provide your credit card information and authorise a full amount hold. This allows us to ship the new item, even before you send the original item back to us.

Rest assured, your new items will be on their way immediately. Simply ensure that you send the return items via post within 14 days; otherwise, charges will be incurred for the additional item.

In the event that you fail to post your return within 14 days of initiating the Instant Exchange, the full amount of the new item will be charged to your card.
